About The Principals
Richard “Dick” Slover, and Vernon Clements, members of STLE, have more than 50 years combined total years experience in the use of and chemistry of EHC fluids. Their chemical background allows them to identify potential trouble areas with the fluid. Forsythe Technology believes that as chemicals, not oils with additives, EHC fluids, with proper maintenance and timely intervention, have a potential use life of more than 10 years. Fluid introduced in 1984 in a central Texas 350 MW General Electric turbine is stil in service in 2004 in OEM specification condition.
Forsythe Technology has a working relationship with Utility Service Associates headed by Ken Brown (EPRI EHC fluid manual contractor and Author, and frequent presenter to EPRI meetings). Ken is a Fellow of the Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers. He brings more than 25 years experience both with Ontario Hydro and his own company. He serves as both an advisor on customer’s fluid conditions and also advises on the remediation of fluids that are going off specification.
